B2C Glossary
Allotment – Term used to refer to the quantity of rooms that are available for sale.
Room Equivalency – Term used to identify the match between a given room in a channel and e-GDS room.
Closed for check in (CTA) – Possibility to select a date or period when it is not possible for the customer to check in.
Closed for check out (CTD) – Possibility to select a date or period when it is not possible for the customer to check out.
Rates – Term used to refer to rates.
Rate Plan – Term used to create the sales conditions.
Rate Template – Term used to refer to price tables.
Release – Time period agreed between the hotel and a certain channel to release the contracted rooms.
Submissions – Checking the status of actions taken on prices, availability and restrictions.
On Request – Reservation that still needs confirmation to become confirmed.
Interface – Communication/connection with other systems that can be 2-way or 1-way only.
Booking Window – Possible period to make a reservation.
Stay Window – Possible period of stay/sleep.
